HB Management Group recruited Rick in April 2010 to bring in a new perspective and a more structured approach to financial management, strategic planning, and mergers & acquisitions. Within HB Management Rick is responsible for the overall financial results of the company and its subsidiaries, giving strategic direction to the Enterprise, banking relationships, and providing direct leadership the areas of accounting, payroll, human resources, information technology, and training.
Rick’s passion is leading companies through rapid growth cycles and in achieving their ultimate goal of increased sustainable profitability. He spent 25 years within the Weyerhaeuser Company organization with several of its businesses, obtaining experience in several different areas including corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, accounting, information technology, and human resources along with two years of operational experience within manufacturing operations. His focus on leadership, strategic direction and training led to his success and advancement throughout his career.
Rick earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting Major, Finance Minor) from the University of Northern Colorado. Rick holds a CPA certification and is a member of both the AICPA and Ohio Society of CPA’s. Outside of work he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Becky, their four children, Holly, Katherine, Alexandra and Thomas, and recent granddaughter, Rylyn.
